Grand finale of Parachute Advanced Beliphool Stylish Hair of the Campus 2014

Societal Events Report :                             Amidst much glitz and glam, Parachute Advanced Beliphool Stylish Hair of the Campus 2014 hosted its grand finale at Radisson Water Garden Blu in the city recently.  The esteemed judges for this event were famous actor Zahid Hasan, renowned director Redoan Rony and CEO of Red Afroza Parveen. In this final round of talent hunt, out of the top 11, the best 3 were selected based on their performance in three different categories - ‘Dance, Acting and Ramp.’ Parachute Advanced Beliphool Stylish Hair of the Campus- 2014 title went to Rokaya Rashid Remi and she was awarded Tk 3 lakh.  Atoshi Ameen was announced the first runner up who received Tk 2 lakh, while the second runner-up Rubayat Kabir Rayna received prize money of Tk 1 lakh.  All these three winners will be acting on TV plays. Apart from these, one special award ‘The Most Beautiful Hair’ was awarded to Airin Sultana who received prize money of Tk 50,000. Each of the contestants from fourth to tenth positions received prize money Tk 25,000. Parachute Advanced Beliphool Stylish Hair of the Campus 2014 hosted its talent competition throughout the country with the vision to reach out to the talented girls of Bangladesh who need a platform to showcase their skills and get closer to their dreams. The event hopes to make a difference in their lives, and give wings to their aspirations. The competition launched back in September 2013 and reached out to almost 3 lakh girls from over 300 educational institutions. A huge pool of more than 20,000 talented students participated in the initial rounds from where close to 2,000 were selected for the photography and portfolio making session.  Top 100 contestants were screened on June 10 in Dhaka. On June 13 and 14, the talented top 20 were further short-listed based on their performance. They were mentored by some of the most well-known experts of Bangladesh. From these 21 talented contestants, top 11 were announced on June 19. The event finally concluded with its grand finale on June 25 where the Top 3 were crowned. The grand finale was aired on GTV.
