Subarna Mustafa is one of the legendary and favourite actresses of the country who is an idol to the actresses from generation to generation. She is a versatile actress too. She is not only favourite to most of the viewers but also to her colleagues. Today is the birthday of this Ekushey Award and National Film Award winner popular actress and also Member of the Parliament. But this year she has no special plan to celebrate her birthday due to ongoing Corona pandemic. The actress will complete 61 today.
While talking in this regard Subarna said, “In fact, we are going through a peculiar situation now. Everyday a large number of people are dying in and outside the country. In this situation, how can I remain well? I cannot remain well. As I am not well, so how can I think about my birthday? For this reason, there is no arrangement on my birthday this year. Second wave of the Coronavirus has already started. Everybody should remain careful and safe from their contexts because security is the top priority now.”
Subarna also informed that she got many offers to work in TV dramas and movies till now. Due to Coronavirus, she did not agree to work in these. She only took part in special sessions of the National Parliament. She last acted in BTV’s drama serial Lukochuri Lukochuri Golpo, directed by Badrul Anam Soud. Later, she did not work in any other work during pandemic.
In 1980, Subarna Mustaf impressed the viewers to act in Syed Salauddin Zaki’s movie Ghuddi. Raisul Islam Asad was her co-actor in the movie. Popular song Abar eloje sondhya, shudhu du’jone was used in this movie. Then Subarna also acted in movies Lal Sabujer Pala, Notun Bou, Noyon-er Alo, Suruj Mia, Rakkhosh, Commander, Apohoron, Stree, Durottwo, Gohin Baluchor, Gondi' and many more.
Afzal Hossain-Subarna Mustafa is the most popular pair on the screen. This pair last worked together in Badrul Anam Soud’s Akkshar Theke Uthe Asha Manush. Subarna got the National Film Award for acting in Soud’s Gohin Baluchor.
