BCB announces 18-member ODI squad

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Saturday the 18-member ODI squad of Bangladesh for the upcoming West Indies three-match One Day International (ODI) series. The series has been named Bangabandhu Bangladesh-West Indies series.
Best ODI all-rounder of world cricket Shakib Al Hasan has been included in the ODI squad. After one-year ban by International Cricket Council (ICC), Shakib Al Hasan has returned to International cricket.
Promising pacers Hasan Mahmud, Shoriful Islam and all-rounder Mahadi Hasan have been included in the squad.
Pacers Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Mohammad Saifuddin have been named in the squad. Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam has been called for the squad.
Off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been included in the squad.
The players, who have been included in the 18-member squad, are: Tamim Iqbal (Captain), Liton Das, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Soumya Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mohammad Mithun, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Afif Hossain, Mahadi Hasan and Taijul Islam.
Bangladesh will take on West Indies in the first One Day International (ODI) match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city's Mirpur on January 20, The Tigers will face the Caribbean team in the second ODI at the same venue on January 22, the hosts will meet the visitors in the third ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, in the port city on January 25.
