Mandatory institutional quarantine passengers surpass 70024 January 2021
About 714 UK returned passengers have been maintaining mandatory institutional quarantine at the government designated seven hotels in Dhaka.
A total of 4,864 passengers have returned from abroad by 29 flights on Saturday. Of them, 38 migrants have been sent to quarantine.
Three passengers out of 38 from UK showed date expired Covid-19 negative certificates, according to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) health division.
HSIA health official Dr Shariar Sazzad said, after maintaining four day mandatory institutional quarantine as per government decision, the sample testing of UK returned Bangladeshi is going on. If the result comes negative then they should be sent to 10 days home quarantine and to government dedicated Covid-19 hospitals if positive. The passengers have to bear their own treatment cost.
He said, how many UK returned passengers are now in home quarantine and in hospitals, they don't have exact figure.
