Daffodil International University (DIU) paid glowing tributes to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman today on March 17, 2021 marking his Birth Centenary with due respect.
A team of Daffodil International University paid homage placing floral wreaths at portrait of Bangabandhu at Dhanmondi 32 in Dhaka led by Professor Dr. Ahmed Ismai Mostafa, Convener, Mujib Barsha Observance Committee of the university and Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences along with Professor Dr. Masum Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Nadir Bin Ali, Additional Registrar, Mahabub Parvez, Head, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Md. Anowar Habib Kazal, Senior Assistant Director (PR), Chandan Halder, Director of Student Affairs and a large number of faculty members and officers.
To mark the day a virtual discussion meeting titled "Ridoyee Bangabandhu" was arranged on campus TV of the university today presided over by Prof Dr. S M Mahabubul Haque Majumder, Acting Vice Chancellor, Dramatist and Member of Advisory Council of Bangladesh Awami League and President, Cultural Committee Dramatist Ataur Rahman, Col ( Rtd.) Sazzad Ali Zahir ( Bir Protik), Mredia Personality K M Harun, GTV Editor Syed Ishtiaq Reza discussed in the session. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Students Affairs moderated the session
Students of Daffodil International University organized a virtual cultural program titled" Bangabondhu at the eye of the youth" Beside this DIU Bangabandhu Minis Marathon was arranged at permanent campus of the university where 160 participants attended the Marathon.
