Two women raped in Keraniganj

 Two women, both about 20 years old, were raped by their former colleagues in South Keraniganj on the outskirts of Bangladesh's capital Friday night.
The victims informed the police about the incident on Saturday and then they were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for medical tests. Police detained three suspects - Apu, Ashique and Rifat - and another one for interrogation.
The two women are divorced and working in a park in the area, said police.
South Keraniganj police officer-in-charge Abul Kalam Azad said that the women lived in the area and the suspects were their former colleagues.
The women went to Rajabari Bazar on Friday for shopping where they met with their former colleagues while the youths invited them for a conversation in a nearby area.
The youths, taking the women here, raped the two women one after another confining in an abandoned house between 8:30pm to 9:30pm on Friday, the OC said. The accused youths also threatened them not to disclose the incident, he said, adding that the victims came to the police station on Saturday morning and complained about the incident.
The police officer said that the victims identified the three youths as rapists and then police detained them. He said that they were conducting drives to nab the other suspects.
