455 flood victims get relief from RDRS Bangladesh in Gaibandha

A total of 455 flood hit families of two unions under Shaghata upazila in the district got relief materials from RDRS Bangladesh on Thursday.
To mitigate their sufferings, RDRS Bangladesh, a reputed NGO, stood beside the flood hit families of the unions and took initiative to distribute relief materials to them yesterday as part of social corporate responsibility.
Accordingly, the organisation disbursed relief materials to 200 flood victims of Shaghata union and 255 of Holdia union of the upazila under a programme of Emergency Relief Distribution Implementation- 2014.
Each flood victim family received a relief package containing 10 kg of rice, 2 kg of pulse, a kg of salt, a litre of soybean oil, and 10 packets of saline from the organisation.
Programme manager of RDRS Bangladesh Porsia Rahman, project coordinator of School Feeding Programme Kabir Alam, Shaghata Upazila Parishad (UP) chairman Mosarrof Hossain Sweet, Holdia UP chairman Rafiqul Islam and local elite were present on the occasion.
