Probha Aurora, also known as ‘Rising Dawn’, an emerging social enterprise, has recently organized a global launch event regarding multifaced discourse of climate action and social justice. The event was facilitated by esteemed speaker Dr. Aftab Uddin, Adviser, Probha Aurora, Vice President and CEO of Mc Weadon Education, and Chairperson of Public Health Education, Bangladesh, says a press release.
Planning Minister MA Mannan, MP was the chief guest at the event. The minister expressed his sincere support on behalf of the government, further wishing Probha Aurora the best for their further endeavors. Probha Aurora’s Founder and Managing Director, Bidhan Chandra Pal, an avid writer and environmentalist with over 25 years of experiencein the development sector is committed to raise both the boundary and standard of the organisation’s work by collaborating with the UNESCO & UNEP recognized Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). Chief Executive Officer of FEE, Danial Schaffer was quite keen in supporting Probha Aurora, and expressed the FEE’s enthusiasm at the Global Launch Event, he stated, “if this membership is achieved, then, hopefully soon, the people and especially the young people in Bangladesh will be able to benefit from the programs, resources and partnerships that are available to the members of our global organisation.”
The event also welcomed distinguished thinkers from across the globe to put forth their valuable insights. Some of the key issues that were discussedare capacity building of human capital for conservation of the environment, the estimation of economic risks associated with climate change, and scope and success of Bangladesh in reaching Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). “… the leaders really ought to have values of saving the world and protecting it for the future generations by being very optimal, and by being very efficient in the resource use.
And for that reason, you have to empower the people and be careful about using the resources", a cautionary comment made by Dr.Atiur Rahman, Bangabandhu Chair Professor, Dhaka University and former Governor of Bangladesh Bank. Along with other academicians and eco-activists who cheered up Probha Aurora, for explicitly addressing the organisation's capabilities, a valuable remark was,  "I would think that there would be a very high return in investment in these younger generations really and particularly investment in human capital and this is one of the unique opportunities rarely that Bidhan and his organisation has seized this opportunity very prudently and very timely", said Dr. M.A Sattar Mandal, Emeritus Professor at the Department of Agricultural Economics at Bangladesh Agricultural University.
