Ekushey Award winner noted actor Abul Hayat has been engaged with shooting of Bangladesh Television (BTV) produced episode drama from Wednesday to next two days. This noted actor is playing the role of Raihan, grandfather of the heroine of the drama, in Fazlul Karim written story based drama titled Onakankhito, which main theme was given by Sohrab Hossain.
After recovering from corona, Abul Hayat is acting carefully. For this reason, she is acting selectively now. Abul Hayat said, “I worked in those dramas where social distances and hygiene were maintained properly. Therefore, BTV is a government organisation where these things are maintained obviously properly. Story of Onakankhito is a family drama. I have liked its story. I believe after making this drama successfully viewers will enjoy it.”
Abul Hayat also said that he has already performed as model in Mostafa Sarwar Farooki directed a TVC of Chaldal.com, which will be aired in different TV channels soon. Within few days, he will again start shooting of late noted director Fazlul Haque directed a drama serial. Another director will give direction of this serial now.
Meanwhile, in September, Abul Hayat turned 78.  In last Eid, he acted in Rubel Hasan directed drama Nanabari. He made a drama titled Megh Moyurir Golpo on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
When Abul Hayat was a student of Class-V, he first acted in a theatre play. Buro Shaliker Grare Ro was his acted first theatre play under the banner of Nagorik Natya Sampradaya. Oedipus was his first acted television drama. Agontuk was his directed first TV drama and Harjit was his directed first theatre play. Ritwik Ghatak directed Titas Ekti Nodir Nam was Abul Hayat acted his first movie.
