5 lakh residents to get TCB products in Ctg

Chattogram Bureau :
Chattogram district administration has decided to distribute TCB products to 5 lakh 35 thousand 82 people during the month of Ramadan. From Sunday (March 20), activities will be carried out simultaneously in different unions and 15 municipalities of 15 upazilas including Chittagong City Corporation area, said the concerned.
It is learned that TCB products will be sold at low prices to a total of 5 lakh 35 thousand 72 people in 41 wards of Chittagong City Corporation, 191 unions of 15 upazilas and 15 municipalities through 64 dealers in Chittagong district. Each person will be given 2 kg sugar, 2 kg lentils, 2 liters soybean oil, 2 kg gram.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman said the food warehouse is being packaged to distribute the goods by hiring workers in two shifts day and night.
Six additional deputy commissioners of the district administration are monitoring the packaging process to ensure that it is proper and transparent. At the upazila level also, the monitoring team including government officials and employees are supervising the activities of TCB locally.
