Minimising gap between rich and poor stressed at meeting

Bishwajanin Shanti Sangha organised a discussion meeting followed by distribution of new clothes and Iftar items among the hapless women of the society
on the premises of its Station Road office last Sunday.  
Chairman of the Sangha Principal Dr Abdul Karim presided over the function. Dr Abdul Karim in his speech emphasised the need of minimising distances between the rich and poor in all stages aimed at establishing peace in the society. He also said if the riches devote themselves for the services to the poor, then the poverty will reduce. He called upon the affluent people to provide foods, clothes and medical services to the poor and distressed people.
A discussion meeting was also held before the Iftar and distribution of clothes. Among others, vice chairman Narayan Chandra Rudra Paul, Principal Dr Nurul Amin, Habibur Rahman, Secretary General Advocate Sukhomoy Chakraborty, joint secretary Dr Anjan Kumar Das, Joydev Chandra Das, Ln Dr Pranab Biswas, Dr Akhter Hossain Bhutto, Dr Devashish Majumder, Ranjan Shaha, M Abdul Baten, Dr Md Saifuddin, Mohan Chowdhury, Dr Manas Shekor, Dr Mohd Mohsin, Dr M A Fazal, Md Ashik, Adv H M Shuhawardy, Ruhul Amin, Md Maniruzzaman, Md Kamrul Islam, Md Khokan Miah, Md Arshad and Pinki Majumder also spoke in the discussions.
