Former president of Raozan Press Club, senior advocate Shakawat Hussain Chowdhury  died yesterday morning at a private hospital in the port city while was undergoing treatment. He was 68. He left behind two sons and two daughters, wife and  huge   numbers of  well wishers and relatives to mourn his death. He was hailed from Box Ali Chowdhury Bari of Gohira, Raozan in a respectable muslim family. Chairman of the  PSC on Ministry of  Railway ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, Chairman of Raozan Upazila AKM Ahsanul Haider Chowdhury, Poura Mayor Jamiruddin Parvez, Organiser Abu Mansur, President of Raozan Press Club Sarwaruddin Ahmed, General Secretary Jainal Abedin, journalists Jahedul Alam, Tayab Chowdhury and  other officials of RPC expressed deep shock  on his death and prayed for salvation of the departed soil. Adv Showkat was buried at Gohira family graveyard after Esha prayer.
