5 people died of Covid-19 after 55 days, positivity rate 12.73pc

Five people died of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours and the country records that daily positivity rate is 12.73 percent while the total positivity rate is 13.61 percent
As a result, the total number of deaths from Covid-19 is currently 29,345 in the country and the death rate stands at 1.45 percent.
Earlier on July 27, five people died in a single day due to the virus.
However, the death toll rose to five in a single day after 55 days on Tuesday.    One or two people have died at some point and no one ever died from COVID-19.
At least 614 new coronavirus cases were recorded during this period, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)
With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,18,829, the release added.
A total of 4,825 samples were tested across the country during this period.
At least 283 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,61,260 and the recovery rate at 97.15 percent, said the release.
Of the deceased, three were males and two were females. They were between 51-90 years old, added the release.
