Legendary singer of the subcontinent, Runa Laila’s birthday was on November 17. To celebrate her 70th birthday, a gala function was held at the Ballroom of Hotel Westin on Sunday night.
Hosted by Shanta Jahan, noted film actor, producer, director and husband of Runa Laila, M A Alamgir, noted actress Suborna Mustafa, noted singers Khurshid Alam, Rafiqul Alam, Abida Sultana, actor Ferdous, singer Ankhi Alamgir, Robi Chowdhury, Asif Akbar, among others, were present at the function.
In the programme, organised by founder and CEO of Madiha Marsiha Advertising Ovi Moinuddin in support with Nagad, Bappa Mazumder, Ankhi Alamgir, Asif Akbar, Kona, Nishita, Kishore, Apu Aman, Imran, Yousuf, Konal, Liza, Zhilik rendered Runa Laila rendered songs.
