Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Jahangir Kabir Nanak said that his party leaders and activists are not afraid of the sound bomb of BNP.
"Awami League believes in democracy and practice its norms and values properly," he told journalist recently after visiting the Historic Suhrawardy Udyan where party's 22nd national council will be held on December 24.
Nanak said BNP had carried out arson attacks on people in the name of movements across the country earlier. So, the word of 'humanity' doesn't suit the party which had indulged in terrorism, corruption and anarchy during its tenure in the state power, he added.
He also said AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had overcome the challenges of Covid-19 and now she would be able to tackle the ongoing adverse economic situation created by Russia-Ukraine war, reports BSS.
Nanak said that a total of 11 sub-committee have been formed to make the council a success. Stage and Decoration Sub-committee has been formed with making Jahangir Kabir Nanak as its convener and Mirza Azam as member secretary.
Nanak said that Mohila Awami League council will be held November 25.
AL organization Secretary Mirza Azam and Mohila Awami League General Secretary Mahamuda Begum, among others, were present there.
