Mithila wins Award at Telangana Bengali Film Festival

Popular Bangladeshi actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila won a Maitri Award at the Telangana Bengali Film Festival in Hyderabad, India.
She was given the award for her performance in 'Omanush.'
Mithila received the award on Sunday, the second and concluding day of the festival.
The prestigious award ceremony took place at the Palace Preview Lab in Hyderabad. The actress confirmed the matter yesterday.
Meanwhile, Mithila’s debut Tollywood movie titled 'Maya' was also screened at the Telangana Bengali Film Festival, which began on Saturday. Directed by Raajhorshee De, the movie is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s 'Macbeth.' The movie features Mithila taking on the role of the alter ego of Lady Macbeth. The role, Maya, is said to be a combination of the play’s Wayward sisters and Lady Macbeth.
Besides Mithila, Gaurab Chakraborty, Tanushree, Sudipta Bandyopadhyay, Rahul, Kamleshwar, among others, also acted in 'Maya.'
