Illegal structures at Ctg Fisheryghat demolished

The mobile court of the Chattogram district administration demolished the newly built illegal structures in the fishery ghat area of the Karnaphuli river, in Chattogram.
The operation was conducted based on secret information.
The operation was led by District Administration Executive Magistrate Nu-Mong Marma Mong and Jamiul Hikma.
During the campaign, 8 newly built paved structures and two huts were demolished and the river bank was freed from encroachment.The Executive Magistrate warned the illegal encroachers that no concession will be made to anyone encroaching on the river bank. River banks are public trust property or public property. To ensure the ecological balance and sustainable management of the river, the Chittagong district administration will continue illegal eviction activities.
