Dr. Zafrullah honoured by UK organisation

Britannia Economical Support Trust (BEST), an UK-based organisation, has honoured Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury, Founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, for his contribution to the healthcare service and formulation of Bangladesh National Drug Policy in 1982.
BEST President Abdul Halim Bepari handed over an honorary crest to Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury at a simple ceremony.
The organisation announced to purchase medicines produced by Gonoshasthaya Pharmaceuticals Limited for distributing free of cost to the poor in various African countries.
The BEST President also expressed interest to export medicines produced by Gonoshasthaya Pharmaceuticals Limited to different countries.
Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury's wife and Member of 'Nari pakkha' Shrini Haque, Media Adviser to Gonoshasthaya Kandre, Jahangir Alam Mintu, Managing Director of Basic Chemicals, Mir Abdul Naqeeb, Acting Managing Director of Gonoshaystho Pharmacies Limited, Mohammad Saiful Islam among others were present in the event.#
