Staff Reporter  :
Benazir Ahmed, the former Inspector General of Police (IGP) claimed not to know Dubai's gold dealer Arav Khan alias Rabiul Islam. He confirmed this matter through a Facebook post from his verified Facebook account.
On Saturday (March 18), Benazir Ahmed gave a status on his Facebook claiming that he does not know anyone named Arav Khan.
In the status, he said, "I want to assure you all that I do not know anyone by the name of 'Aarav alias Rabiul alias Hridoy'. I do not even have a primary acquaintance with him.
I have spent my entire law enforcement career fighting murderers, terrorists, drug dealers, smugglers, counterfeiters, and criminals, never allies.
Thank you so much for your endless love, support, and cooperation".
It is noted that after being on the run for a long time, Arav came into discussion recently. The world's number one all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and much talked viral celebrity Hero Alam joined his jeweler shop opening in Dubai on Wednesday.
After seeing Arav on a Facebook post, many people recognised him as Robiul Islam, the fugitive murder accused. Discussions started on how an absconding accused went to Dubai and made a hefty amount of money.
