Advance Eid train tickets to be sold online from April 7-11

Bangladesh Railway announced to sell all advance train tickets on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr through online from April 7-11.
Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan came  up with the information at a press briefing at Rail Bhaban in the capital on Wednesday.
As per the decision of the rail authority, tickets for trains on April 17 will be sold on April 7, while tickets for April 18, 19, 20 and 21 will be sold on April 8, 9, 10 and 11 respectively.
Depending on the Eid moon sighting, tickets will be sold for April 22, 23, and 24, the minister said. While the sale of Eid return tickets will begin on April 17, he added.
The Minister said that the railway authorities will provide 18 special train services for the Eid holyday makers to ease their traveling during the holy occasion.
The minister announced also that no tickets will be sold at railway stations counters.
As per the decision, train tickets sale will be kept stopped from April 1.
Among the 18 special trains-Chattogram Eid Special 1 and 3 will run on Chattogram-Chandpur-Chattogram route.
Chandpur Eid special-2 and 4 will run on Chandpur-Chattogram-Chandpur route, Dewanganj Eid Special 5 and 6 will run on Dhaka-Dewanganj-Dhaka route. Mymensingh Eid Special-7 and Mymensingh Eid Special-8 will run on Chattogram-Mymensingh-Chattogram route and Eid special 9 and 10 will run on Sylhet-Chandpur-Sylhet route.
The total number of seats on the train leaving Dhaka this Eid will be 25, 778. Moreover, 3,000 seat tickets of three Eid special trains from Dhaka and Joydebpur will also be sold online, he added.
All the Eid-Special trains will be available four days before the Eid-ul-Fitr and five days after the Eid, the minister said.
The minister also said that all rail tickets will be sold online this year so that passengers do not face the hassle.
The passengers have not to travel to Kamalapur station beforehand to buy tickets and can complete all transactions from home, for this decision.
