BGB seized drugs worth TK 60 lakh in Teknaf

BGB recovered drugs worth Tk 60 lakh from Naf River in Teknaf upazila of Cox\'s Bazar district on Friday evening.

The members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 42 Battalion recovered drugs worth Th 60 lakh from Naf River  of  Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar district on Friday .  
BGB source said,  acting on a tip-off a mobile team of BGB Teknaf Sadar BOP drive led by Habildar Lutful Kabir in Naf  river  and seized one cargo boat from that   area.
Later, the BGB member count down 171 carton drugs including  Daygin, Mandela Ram, Andaman Gold Beer, Myanmar Beer, Dragon Ram, Ground Royal Husky, Ground Master but  BGB could not arrest any people in this connection.  
Lt Col Abujar Al Jahid, Commander of Teknaf 42 battalion,  confirmed  the  incident and said the journalist that, BGB tried to prevent drugs smuggling and the market value of the recovered drugs and cargo boat estimated BD TK 60 lakh.
