22nd AGM of Gas Transmission Company Ltd. held

The Company earned Tk.534.03 crore pre-tax profit and contributed Tk. 299.01 crore to the National Excheque in FY 2014-15.

Gas Transmission Company Limited organized its 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) recently at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the city. Company's Shareholders and Directors of the Company were present for celebrating the AGM.    
During the last fiscal 2014-2015, the Company earned Tk.636.97 crore revenue by transporting 1964.26 crore cubic meter gas and 841.27 lac liter condensate. The Company earned Tk.534.03 crore pre-tax profit and contributed to the National Exchequer a total amount of Tk. 299.01 crore as Debt Service Liabilities (DSL), Dividend and Income Tax during the FY  2014-2015.
Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL) is a company responsible for transmission of natural gas all over Bangladesh. It is a government owned company for gas transmission and under direct supervision of Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla).
GTCL was registered on December 14, 1993 under the Companies Act of 1993, as a public limited company with an authorized capital of Tk.100 billion of 100,00,000.00 shares of Tk.1000 each.
The company was formed with the objective of establishing a balanced and reliable national gas transmission network with effective and unified control to ensure transportation of required gas for meeting the increasing gas demand in the country.
GTCL commenced its formal operation through convening the first meeting of the board of Directors on January 23, 1994 and subsequently started its commercial business from March, 1994.
