Maizbhandar Urs begins amid presence of million of devotees

The traditional spiritual congregation of Hazrat Gousul Azam Shah Sufi Moulana Syed Ahmedullah Maizbhandari locally known as Urs began at Maizbhandar Darbar Sharif in Fatikchari upazila of North Chittagong from Wednesday with religious fervor.
This is the 108th Urs of the saint. In the 3-dayslong religious congregation, devotes irrespective of caste, creed and religion from different parts of the country as well as abroad participating Urs Mubarak. thousand hundreds of devotees assembled at Darbar sharif and turned it as reunion of the devout and followers of the great saint. Akheri munajat of the religious congregation will be conducted after midnight of today and Tabaruk (religious food) will be distributed among the devotes after final prayer on early dawn of Saturday next. The religious programs on the occasion of Urs launched from early morning yesterday following the placement of Gilap on Mazar Sharif of the saint.
Every mazar sharifs of the Darbar complex were illuminated colorfully and eye-catching. The devotes installed tents, camps in the complex area to stay temporarily during the 3 days of Urs programme.
 Reliable sources said  a number of devouts from India,Pakistan, Myanmar, Bhutan and Maldip attending this religious congregation. Beside Khatme Quran, Khatme Gousia, Zikir and chema mahfil, Kawali and maizbandhari songs program arranged at Darbar sharif complex whole night. A successor of the Maizbandar Darbar Sharif Sufi Syed Didarul Hoque Maizbandari said about 10 lakh devotes gathered in this spiritual congregation centing the celebration of Urs each year.
