Sheikh Ambia Islam (72), wife of former Director of Education Department, late Sheikh Nurul Islam died in Dhaka on Wednesday morning at Square Hospital. She was suffering from acute kidney failure with other ailments.
Sk. Ambia Islam left behind six sons, two daughters, a hot of grand children, relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death. She was buried in the family graveyard at Shantibag.
A milad mahfil was held on Friday after Asr Prayers at Shantibag Shah Shaheb Bari Jame Masjid for the salvation of the departed soul.
