Bangladesh Mahila Parishad

A view-exchange meeting on ‘Role to Ensure Rights and Security of Migrant Female Employees’ organised by Bangladesh Mahila Parishad was held in its Anwara Begum-Munira Khan Auditorium in the city’s Segunbagicha. In the programme held on Sunday the speakers urged the government and other authority concerned to take necessary steps for the security of migrant female employees. They also called upon all for ensuring the the rights of migrant female workers.
Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad

A meeting organised by Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad was held on the premises of Dhakeshwari National Temple ahead of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Bangalee Hindu community. Members of national council, advisory council and representatives of district, city, upazila, thana and municipality level units of the parishad attended the meeting. In the programme held on Friday the leaders of the parishad sought cooperation from all to celebrate the “Sharadiyo Durgotsav”. The function was addressed, among others, by journalist Swapan Kumar Saha, General Secretary of the parishad Nirmal Kumar Chattarjee, Additional Police Commissioner Krishnapada Roy and President of Mahanagar Sarbajanin Puja Committee Shailendra Nath Majumder. President of the organisation Milon Kanti Dutta presided over the event.
