The Pakundia Upazila Vice Chairman Haroon Or Rashid Jewel was seriously injured in an attack by opponents in Kishoreganj. The incident took place in front of the Patuavhanga Unionate Satiyadi Government Primary School of the upazila on Friday evening. He has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for better treatment.
Zilla Parishad member. Shafiqul Islam (VP Shafiq) said that Vice+ Chairman Harun Or Rashid Jewel is a simple person. He was sitting in a shop in front of Satiyadi Government Primary School in Patuavhanga Union of the upazila, on his personal work, and was inquiring about the area.
At that time, former MP advocate Sohrab Uddin’s people killed VP Farid, his younger brother Tipu and Himel along with several vice chairman Jewel. Vice Chairman Harun Or Rashid Jewel was rescued and first treated in the emergency department of Pakundia Upazila Health Complex. Later he was admitted to Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital. From there he was shifted to Dhaka for better treatment..
