The Railway Police on Sunday detained three youths for allegedly attempting to detonate hand grenades (crude bombs) at the central railway station of Narayanganj city.
The detainees have been identified as Joynal Abedin, 22, Habibur Rahman alias Hasan, 21, and Md Arif, 23.
Mokhlesur Rahman, sub-inspector of Narayanganj Railway Police, confirmed the matter to the media saying that they detained the three youths red-handed while attempting to throw crude bombs on a Dhaka-bound commuter train in the afternoon.
In primary questioning, they admitted to their offense, he said.
But whether they are involved with any political party could not be confirmed instantly, the subinspector of police added.
