Remittance to exceed 2 billion in Feb

Country’s remittance earning flow shows positively like last month on January. In the first nine days of this month, February, a total $63 crore and 8 million came in banking channels.
In an average, more than $7 million remittance entered in every day. If the trend of this remittances would be continue, it will be exceed $2 billion in this month as well.
According to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank, in the first 9 days of this month, total $63 crore and 17akh 70 thousand came in the country. It will be in about Tk 6948 crore.
The data shows that 9 crore 10 million dollars came through government banks, 2 crore 9 million 400000 dollars earned through specialized banks, 53 crore 1 million 650000 dollars came through private banks and 1390000 thousand dollars came through foreign banks.
However, 13 banks did not receive any remittance during the period. These include the state- owned Bangladesh Development Bank (BDBL), Rajshahi Agricultural Unnayan Bank (RAKUB), Community Bank, Citizens Bank, ICB Bank, Meghna Bank, Padma Bank, Shimanto Bank and foreign sector banks Al-Falah, Habib Bank, National Bank of Pakistan, State Bank of India and Woori Bank.
