Sanjida plays for East Bengal in India Women’s League

Sanjida Akhter of Bangladesh played her first match for East Bengal Club in the India Women’s League on Tuesday.

It was Sanjida Akhter’s debut match in the India Women’s League. Sanjida Akhter took part in her first match wearing Number-10 jersey against Odisha Football Club. Sanjida played in her opening match for total time.

East Bengal Club made a goalless draw with Odisha Football Club. East Bengal Club not so strong as there are no national team player of India in their squad.

The Bangladesh star created some moves for her team but her teammates could not convert those.

Sanjida got injury in the 87th minute of the play. East Bengal Club got a throw-in the area of Odisha Football Club. She fought for the ball possession against her opponent.

But she was injured in her head after getting a hit from her opponent. Later, she took first aid medication and became totally okay. Then she played rest of the match.

Sanjida Akhter will play her next match against Kickstart Football Club on February 5. Her compatriot Sabina Khatun will play for Kickstart Football Club. The match will start at 2.00pm.

Odisha Football Club led the points table grabbing 16 points playing six matches. Sanjida Akhter’s team East Bengal earned only four points playing seven matches. East Bengal Club took the sixth spot among the seven teams.

Kickstart Football Club took the third position claiming 14 points playing seven matches.
