In the 12th National Assembly elections, veteran Awam League leader, freedom fighter and eight-time chairman Mir Enayet Hossain Montu contested as an independent candidate for the 136, Tangail-7 (Mirzapur) constituency for which boat candidate Khan Ahmed Shubha is now facing a big challenge.
Mir Enayet Hossain Montu entered the election field as an independent candidate with the truck symbol. The current Member of Parliament Khan Ahmed Shubo got the Awami League’s party symbol boat. Although both of them are dedicated and devoted souls of the Awami League family, they are now standing opposite poles in the election field. The electoral area is now crowded by both of them with campaigning and mass communication. Today, Tuesday (December 26), such a picture was found around the whole district.
Mir Enayet Hossain Montu said, the local Awami League and the people of the area have nominated me as an MP candidate. I am confident that the people will elect me as MP for trucking with a huge margin of votes for the continuation of development.
