Earlier, the Tigers lost to the Kiwis by 44 runs, according to Duckworth-Lewis-Stern Method in the first ODI at Dunedin in New Zealand on December 17. If the Kiwis win today’s match, New Zealand will win the series 2-0 remaining one match.

Before today’s match, Bangladesh and New Zealand faced each other in 43 ODI matches.

Of them, Bangladesh recorded 10 victories, while New Zealand won 32 occasions and rest of the one match ended without any result.

Head Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Chandika Hathurusingha said, ” Bangladesh could not get big score in batting paradise. I think the wickets of Nelson will be good.

We played here some matches.

Those matches were held in 2015 and 2017.

In that time, the pitches of the Nelson were very good. The outfield of the arena was also good. I hope tomorrow’s match will be a high-scoring match.”

Chandika said, ” It is frustrating that we lost the first match due to inclement weather. We started good, but we could not retain our rhythm. My boys could not do anything due to rainy weather. We could not execute our plan due to inclement weather. We could not adapt with the conditions. Our captain was under pressure.”
