Upholding workers’ rights

M. Mizanur Rahman :

Till now the people all over the world are living through class-struggle.

There are two classes of people in society. One is the exploiter and the other is exploited. The funniest thing is that the exploiters are intelligent few, while the large mediocre sections of the people are exploited.

These exploited weaker section of the people are infested with poverty created artificially by the exploiters. Those exploiters are called rich or materially wealthy in society. So long poverty exists, clashes of vested class interests will continue.

What is the thing of exploitation in the human being? It is labour only. Whatever you earn, you must have to earn through labor. Getting something without labour appears to be committing theft. Where justice never plays its role thieves are there at large. The wrong aptitude in human being is temptation. The more one gets, the more one wants.

Insatiable wants require to be passionately balanced to bring about equality or economic equity among human beings in society to get rid of poverty. There is no other alternative to this end. Will the wealthy section of the people agree to it ? If agreed, poverty will go.

Then there will be no distinction between the poor and the rich. The word ‘Rich’ or ‘Poor’ will automatically be eliminated from the society. Then only the workers-wield ardent laborious activities for human peace and happiness would exist on earth in affinity. The poet would ever be joyous to sing in symmetry with the labours of the world in unison the sweetest song of’ labor that–

Only the workers that build this world of material happiness.

So all songs blend of their musical godliness

So their right to live is never dying
For their boundless creations are everywhere lying.

The word “worker” is ever reminiscent and loving name is the worker
Their gushing sweats of blood are life’s inflamed flavor.

The victory of first May is the song that sounds today
Of human the truth of its being is invincible, doubtlessly
You may say.

The Hay Market at Chicago in nineteen hundred and eighty six
Unfurled the victory standard of the workers that withstood a bloody fix.

Unite, all the workers of the world, unite.
The only truth of our being
that we are everywhere to fight for our right.

So all the workers of the world remain hand and glove
To work out peace for the human, shed no blood on this globe.

(‘The First of May’ from “Under The Same Sky Under I The Same Sun” p.21 by M.Mizanur Rahman)
The reality of human dream with happiness is to get together with the vast ocean of the human society with the equal standard living, doing and singing at heart’s symphony. Human beings can expect that celestial joy on earth provided they learn to enjoy life symmetrically all along.

We must remember that we are born on earth on equal status as the children of this earth; we die equally to level the earth on the same status.

So what is our vaunt of human status on earth? Man’s make is artificial but God’s creation is real and just. Try to understand it before you jump on the emptiness of your pride of performance so long you remain on earth. You are simply the worker everywhere. You have to live on your labour, either you lead here or be led.

No matter what heaven overwhelms you, pride is futile to its end.

Workers’ friendliness is next to Godliness. Let us have that poetry of life where everybody might feel of its rhymes and rhapsodies as in the greatness of a huge creativity that bloom like scented flowers and make the air fragrant.
