Some 10 persons including owner and 4 young women were arrested from a residential hotel named Lakefuji, adjacent to Bagerhat Bus-terminal in Bagerhat district town by the police on the charge of unsocial activities in it on Thursday at noon, according to a report leant from Bagerhat Sadar Model PS.
is learnt from the police that acting on secret information that unsocial activities have been committing in the residential hotel Lakefuji for a long and on the the day a police squad of Bagerhat Model PS conducted a raid upon the hotel at Monday noon (at about 12-30 am) and arrested Md. Amirul Islam, owner of the hotel hails from the village Karapara, a suburb of Bagerhat Pourashabha on the charge of helping to do the unsocial activities in the hotel, 4 call girls or prostitutes and 5 customers from its different rooms.
But the names and the addresses of the arrested persons could not be known excepting the owner of the hotel.
Md. Sayeedur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Bagerhat Sadar Model PS told, all the arrested persons are now in police custody and preparations are afoot to take necessary action against them.
