Bangladesh-Lebanon match to be held in Qatar

Bangladesh Football team will take on Lebanon Football team in their away match of the FIFA World Cup (WC) Qualifiers at the Al Sadd Stadium in Doha, the capital city of Qatar on June 11.

Lebanon is now a war-torn country. Thus, Lebanon Football team’s home match will be held at the neutral venue.

The match will kick-off at 10.00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).

The Bangladesh Football Federation confirmed this matter.

Bangladesh, Lebanon, Australia, Palestine are in Group-I of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Earlier, Bangladesh played against Palestine in Kuwait City (neutral venue) as Palestine is also a war-torn country.

To play against Palestine, Bangladesh Football squad took part in an almost two-week long conditioning camp in Saudi Arabia.

Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Javier Cabrera supervised the conditioning camp of Bangladesh Football squad.

Before the Lebanon match, Bangladesh Football squad will not take enough time to take part in the coaching camp under supervision of Cabrera as the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football is scheduled to be held until May 29.

Bangladesh Football team played four matches in their Group-I of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Bangladesh played a 1-1 draw with Lebanon in their home match. Besides, Bangladesh lost to their opponent teams rest of the matches.

Bangladesh will face Australia in their home match at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka on June 6. Australia are strong side.

It may be mentioned that Australia Football team arrived in Bangladesh in the year of 2015 to play the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
