A delegation from the Anhui Academy of Agricultural Science (IPPAS-AAAS), China visited Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) on Tuesday.
BARI scientists and officers welcomed the China delegation member at the time of their arrival at the institute. BARI Director General Dr. Debasish Sarker gave a welcome address at DG’s conference room. Principal Scientific Officer (Director General’s office) Dr. Md. Shawquat Ali Khan gave short brief presentation of BARI.
At this time, Director General & Senior Researcher, Anhui Academy of Agricultural Science, Rende Qi; Director General & Senior Researcher, Anhui Academy of Agricultural Science, Yong Zhang; Director & Senior Researcher, Anhui Academy of Agricultural Science, Haoliang Chen and BARI’s Director (Research) Dr. Md. Abdullah Yousuf Akhond were present on the occasion. Chief Scientific Officer (Entomology Division) Dr. Nirmal Kumar Dutta, Chief Scientific Officer (Agronomy Division) Dr. Ferdousi Begum; Chief Scientific Officer (Pathology Division) Dr. Ashis Kumer Saha and Senior Scientists from various divisions/centers/section of BARI were present there also.
Later, the delegation visits various laboratories & research field in BARI and expressed their satisfaction by seeing the activities of advancement and achievements of Institute.
