BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that Bangladesh is facing a deep political and economic crisis.
“We assembled here for Iftar at a time when the country was again under another curse of the ongoing fascist regime.
The ward is away for transformation on January 7 of not an election in Bangladesh but disgrace for a nation to aspirations”.
Mirza Fakhrul said it on the occasion of the Iftar Mahfil organised by BNP for the foreign diplomats on Sunday.
The blatant rigging in regard to this and violence is orchestrated by the regime, as evident from the media reports and real-time videos captured from the spots and representatives of the election engineering from across the country, he added.
In the meantime, the international community has also dub the dummy election held in a highly polarised environment and lacking genuine competition as farcical, not meeting international standards, he said.
The BNP leader said thousands of political leaders and activists, including standing committee members, were terminated and incrassed for politically motivated false and fabricated charges.
However, there is a sounding rejection, as evident from a microscopic voter turnout, which served as a public mandate for our election, reinvestment struggle, reinstate democracy, and a referendum for the resignation of a ruling regime and a fresh election, the BNP secretary general stated.
“We are all deeply concerned about the human killing of a civilian operation by Israeli forces.
We call on the international community and the United Nations to take immediate, dissected measures to stop the genocide. We believe that the two state policies will answer the crisis.”.
Mirza Fakhrul said we valued the international community’s support for our struggle for the restoration of rights and freedom, which can be ensured through an election under a neutral and non-party government, unless and until we achieve that perhaps peaceful and non-violent movement to continue.
