Dhaka Abahani defeat Sheikh Russel in BPL Football

Dhaka Abahani Limited defeated Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra by a solitary goal in their match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka on Friday.

Reigning champions Bashundhara Kings led the points table gaining 31 points from 12 matches, while Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited took the second position collecting 26 points from 12 matches.

Dhaka Abahani Limited are breathing on Mohammead’s neck grabbing 25 points from 13 matches.

On the other hand, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra took the eighth position earning 11 points from 13 matches.

After the lemon-break, Abahani Limited’s Brazilian recruit Bruno Gonsalves Bocha scored the all-important goal by a spectacular shot in the 74th minute of the match.

Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra got the first chance in the match when their Japanese recruit Kodai Ida’s free-kick was cleared from the small D-box of Dhaka Abahani Limited.

Fortis Football Club’s Gambian recruit Pa Omar Babou doubled the margin in the 37th minute of the game.

After the intermission, Rahmatganj’s Ghanaian recruit Samuel Koni reduced the margin by a penalty kick in the 50th minute of the clash.
