Dhaka Bank PLC signed an agreement on Monday to provide 24/7 cash management services to the distributors, agents and merchants of bKash at the bank’s Gulshan head office.
Emranul Huq, Managing Director and CEO, Dhaka Bank PLC and Kamal Quadir, Chief Executive Officer, bKash exchanged the agreements on behalf of their respective organisations, according to a press statement.
A M M Moyen Uddin, Deputy Managing Director, Dhaka Bank PLC, Akhlaqur Rahman, SEVP and Head of Corporate Banking Division, Dhaka Bank PLC, Mosleh Saad Mahmud, Head, Liability and Cash Management Unit, Dhaka Bank PLC, Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman Palash, Head, MSME, Dhaka Bank PLC, Moinuddin Mohammed Rahgir, Chief Financial Officer, bKash, Ahamed Ashraf Sharif, EVP and HoD, Treasury, Finance and Accounts, bKash and other senior officials of both organisations were also present at the signing ceremony.
To promote the cashless economy and efficient fund circulation, bKash has introduced an Automated Cash Management service for its distributors and agents having account with Dhaka Bank PLC With this facility, distributors, agents and merchants of bKash can perform Add Money and Transfer e-money in real-time round the clock throughout the year, the release says.
By using this fully automated service, distributors and agents of bKash will be able to generate eMoney using the balance of their Dhaka Bank account.
