Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA) organized an Innovation Showcase at the Shitalakshya Multipurpose Hall, located in the WASA Bhavan premises on Wednesday. The event aimed to highlight innovative initiatives within the organization and foster collaboration with key stakeholders in driving forward technological advancements in water management.
Distinguished guests included the Project Director of Aspire to Innovate (A2I), the Convener and Chief Innovation Officer from the Local Government Department, and a Joint Project Director. Their presence underscored the significance of innovation in addressing contemporary challenges in the water sector.
Among the attendees were representatives from Aspire to Innovate (A2I) and various teams associated with innovation initiatives within the Local Government Department, including the Innovation Oi-Service Roadmap Implementation Team, the Local Government Engineering Directorate Innovation Team, and the Public Health Engineering Directorate Innovation Team.
Notably, Professor Dr. Md Mofizur Rahman from the Department of Civil Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) delivered a compelling presentation titled “Smart Bangladesh: 4th Industrial Revolution.” His insights shed light on leveraging technological advancements to propel Bangladesh towards a smarter, more sustainable future.
