Prominent ophthalmologist Professor Dr. Deen Mohammad Nurul Haque has been appointed as Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). He is the former Director General of the Department of Health.

Prof. Dr. Dean Mohammad Nurul Haque himself confirmed the matter to the media on Monday.

Nurul Haque said, “I came to know a while ago that I had been given the responsibility of being the Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

The Prime Minister gave me the responsibility to make Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University the best institute not only in Bangladesh but in the whole world and I will try my best to make this dream a reality.”

Prof. Dr. Deen Mohammad Nurul Haque is the former Director General of the Department of Health.

He is an international-standard ophthalmologist. Served as director at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital as an eye doctor and got the highest honor, the Prime Minister Dr. Alim Memorial Award.
