DU students burn Netanyahu’s effigy

The Dhaka University (DU) students, along with some teachers, staged a demonstration protesting the Netanyahu government’s aggression and the USA government’s one-eyed behaviour following the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza and the Biden administration’s attack on the protesting students at the universities in the USA.

The teachers and students of the university joined the rally with flags and placards in front of the university’s anti-terrorism Raju sculpture, demanding an immediate ceasefire of the Israeli war on Gaza, while the students burned the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netaniyahu idol.

After the rally, the students marched to Shahabag, chanting slogans demanding free Palestine and the withdrawal of Israeli

“occupation” forces from Gaza, and burning the idol of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netaniyahu.

The Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) also announced to hoist the Palestinian flag, procession, and rally today in all educational institutions of the country in solidarity with the ongoing student movement worldwide demanding the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
