Father beaten to death allegedly by son

In Parshuram of Feni, there made an allegation against a son of beating his father to death named Abdul Momin (65). At around 10:30 pm on Thursday night, he was beaten up at his home in East Alka village of Chithlia Union of the upazila. Later, at 12:30 in the night, the person died while undergoing treatment at Feni General Hospital. His son Farooq alias Rajib (35) and his brother-in-law Abdul Mojib alias Suman (32) were arrested by the police.
It is known that Abdul Momin of East Alka village of Chithlia Union of the upazila has one son and two daughters. Momin and his wife lived in the village house. Momin’s son Farooq along with his wife and children used to rent a house in the upazila headquarter. Mojib went to the village house. At this time, Abdul Momin was preparing to sleep. Ever since he came home, Farooq and his father had an argument. At one stage of the argument between the two, Farooq got angry and started hitting Abdul Momin on the head with a stick. When Abdul Momin was seriously injured, Farooq fled with his brother-in-law. Later, hearing the screams of Abdul Momin and his wife, the neighbors came forward and rescued Abdul Momin in a dazed state and first took him to Parshuram Upazila Health Complex. He was quickly shifted to Feni General Hospital with first aid. Abdul Momin died at 12:30 pm while undergoing treatment in that hospital.
In this incident, the victim’s daughter Panu Akhter filed a murder case at the police station at night. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Parashuram Model Police Station Saiful Islam said that after talking to the family members of the deceased, accused Farooq wanted to continue the beating of his father as an attack by a group of robbers. However, when the case was filed in the night, the police raided and arrested Farooq and Abdul Mojib.
