In the North Gobindpur Lalpol area of Kalidah Union of Feni Sadar Upazila, Haji Syeder Rahman Bhuiya Foundation (HSRBF) distributed Iftar and food items among 160 poor people on Friday morning. Iftar distribution ceremony was presided over by foundation chairman Ed. Sheikh Farid, Feni Sadar upazila parishad chairman Shusen Chandra Sheel spoke as the chief guest.
Feni Sadar Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman AKM Shahid Khandkar, French expatriate and businessman Gias Uddin Bhuiyan, Director of New Upsham General Hospital Abdul Motaleb Humayun, Weekly Swadesh Patra Editor and former General Secretary of Feni Press Club NN Jiban and Haji Syed spoke as special guests.
The meeting was conducted by Md Zainal Abedin Russell, the Foundation’s advisor and the executive director of Sabuj Bangla NGO. In addition, Lalpol Bazar businessman Md. Kamal Uddin, Chittagong transport businessman Md. Jamal Uddin, Finance Secretary of Foundation Md. Tauhidul Islam, General Council member Md. Tamjidul Islam, Dhaka George Court lawyer Shah Md. Ishtiaq Tajvi, Feni city big market businessman Shah Md. Iftiaz invited as guests. Dignitaries including Ifti were present.
The guests in their speech praised the social activities of the foundation, and said such activities enlighten the society and help the destitute. He expressed his determination to support the implementation of all social development programs of the foundation in the future.
At the end of the meeting, the Chief Guest distributed Iftar and food items among the needy people. 3 kg of rice, 1 kg of dal, 2 kg of potato, 1 liter of soybean oil, 1 kg of onion, 1 kg of chickpea boot, muri, dates, tang, powdered milk, bangla semai, laccha semai etc. are given in packets per person.
