If Dhaka Abahani Limited win over Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited today in their Super League match of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket at the BKSP Ground-4 in Savar, the reigning champions (Dhaka Abahani Limited) will be the champions of this year’s DPL Cricket.
Dhaka Abahani Limited collected maximum 26 points from 13 matches, while Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited gained 20 points from 13 matches. Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited will face Shinepukur Cricket Club today at the BKSP Ground-3 in Savar. If Mohammedan win today’s match and Abahani also win today’s match, Abahani will be the champions of the DPL Cricket remaining with two matches.
On the other hand, if Abahani suffer defeat in today’s match and Mohammedan win their today’s match, Abahani have to wait for a win.
It may be mentioned that Dhaka Abahani Limited won over Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited in their match of the first phase (league segment).
If Abahani win today’s match, Abahani’s points will be 28 points from 14 matches. If Mohammedan win today’s match, Mohammedan’s points will be 22 points from 14 matches. So, the difference between the two team’s points will be six points. In that case, Dhaka Abahani Liminted will be the champions.
Dhaka Abahani Limited led the points table with cent percent success. On the other hand, Mohammedan Sporting Club trailed Abahani by six points. If Abahani win today’s match and Mohammedan win rest of their matches, Mohammedan cannot topple Abahani.
So, if Abahani win today’s match, the Dhanmondi-based outfit, led by Mosaddek Hossain will retain their championship title.
