Two centuries from Virat Kohli and KL Rahul powered India to pile up a massive total of 356 for the loss of two wickets in the allotted 50 overs on Monday (reserve day) at Ranasighe Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka.

Pakistan scored 93 for the loss of four wickets in 23 overs, till filing this report.

Pakistan needed 264 runs in 27 overs to win, which is an impossible task for Pakistan. Thus, India were on the brink of victory.

Virat Kohli remained unbeaten with 122 runs.

His 94-ball innings ornamented with nine fours and three sixes.

It is Virat Kohli’s 47th ODI century.

He is now the second highest ODI century maker in world cricket.

Legend Indian batter and former opener of India Sachin Tendulkar has 49 ODI tons in his career.

KL Rahul remained unbeaten with 111 runs.

His 106-ball knock was decorated with 12 fours and two sixes.

Earlier, openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill put on together 121 runs in the opening stand before Rohit Sharma was caught at the long-off by Faheem Ashraf off Shadab Khan on Sunday.

Rohit Sharma hit a marvelous 56 off 49 balls including six fours and four sixes.

Shabman Gill notched up a terrific 58.

He hit 10 fours in his 52-ball knock before he was caught at the cover by Agha Salman off Shahhen Shah Afridi when India’s total was 123 for the loss of two wickets.

Gill hit his half-century on the same day.
