3500 people get treatment, medicine free of cost : KAMPS holds free medical camp at Tangail in honor of language martyred

More than 3500 people get opportunities of medical treatment, pathological tests and medicines totally free of costs at a free medical camp on February 21st.

Kidney Awareness Monitoring and Prevention Society (KAMPS), a voluntary and not for profit organization arranged the free medical camp at Hatibandha village in Shakhipur, marking the international mother language day-2024.

Alongside the medical camp, a seminar on kidney diseases, its reasons, preventive measures and treatment facilities was also held at the same venue.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Chief Selector Gazi Asharf Hossain Lipu attended the event as the chief guest with KAMPS Chairman Prof. DR. MA Samad in the chair.

KAMPS General Secretary, renowned Cardiologist and Professor of BSMMU, Prof. Dr. Harisul Haque delivered address of welcome while former Director of Sheikh Rassel National Gastro liver Institute and Hospital, Prof. Dr. Faruk Ahmed, renowned ENT specialist Prof. Dr. M Alomgir Chowdhury, KAMPS Executive Director Rezwan Salehin, Managing Director, Nasrin Samad, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Md Amin Sharif Supon, Shakhipur Municipal Mayor, Abu Hanif Azad, President, Basail Upazila Awami League, Haji Motiar Rahman Gous addressed seminar among others. While addressing, KAMPS Chairman, Prof Dr. M A Samad told that according to the WHO report more than 50 lacs of people will suffer from criticalities of kidney and related diseases and will die without treatment by the year 2040.
