Meet on smart Bangladesh, dev journalism in Barishal

A one hour discussion session on ‘Smart Bangladesh and Development Journalism’ was held with local media workers and stakeholders on Tuesday. The programme was held at the conference room of Barishal Divisional Public Works in the city organized by the regional information office of PID. The programme was attended by more than fifty working journalists from print and electronic media of the city.
Javed Iqbal, DPIO, PID Barishal presided over the discussion meeting with Barishal Government BM College Principal Prof Dr. Aminul Haque, as chief guest.
Among others, District Information Office Director Riyadul Islam, Bir Muktijujoddhaa Nurul Alam Farid, editor of the local daily BiplobiBangladesh, newspaper published during the liberation war, Barishal Press Club acting president Kazi Al Mamun, BarishalReporters Unity president Nazrul Biswas, secretary Mithun Saha, Metropolitan Press Club president Kazi Abul Abul Kalam Azad, Jamuna TV Barishal Bureau chief Kawsar Hossain, BSS correspondent Debobrato Dutta and others addressed the programme.
In the discussion meeting, the chief guest and special guests said that the prime minister announced to make Bangladesh as a “Smart Bangladesh” in 2041.
She is working in all directions for its implementation.
