Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon stressed the need for a standard and time-befitting education system to create a well-educated nation for ensuring overall development of the country.
“The government is planning to develop a productive, science oriented and time-befitting education system to educate the nation in a proper way for ensuring the overall development,” he said this on Wednesday while inaugurating a 10-storey academic building of Wills Little Flower School in the capital city, as the chief guest.
Mentioning different projects taken by the government for development of education, he also said, “We have initiated pre-primary education system and appointed over one lakh teachers and officers in the primary and mass education sector in the last six years. Over 26,000 primary schools were nationalized during the period.”
With Acting Principal Md Abul Hossain presiding, among others, chief engineer of Directorate of Education Engineering, Deawan M Hamjala, member of the board of directors of the governing body of the school, Zahirul Islam Khan, teachers and students were present on the occasion.
