Mirzapur Upazila Secondary Education Officer Nazrul Islam was selected as the best secondary education officer in Tangail district in the National Education Week 2024. This year, he was selected as the best secondary education officer among the 12 upazilas of Tangail district for his special contribution to women education, quality improvement of education, ICT and subject-based teacher training along with sports. Tangail District Secondary Education Office confirmed the matter today, Wednesday (May 8).
Today Wednesday, Mirzapur Upazila Secondary Education Office sources said, Md. Nazrur Islam joined as Mirzapur Upazila Secondary Education Officer in 2023. After joining, he started extensive work on prevention of child marriage of female students of the upazila, improvement of the quality of education of teachers and students of colleges, secondary schools and madrasas, along with cultural practices and sports.
On the occasion of National Education Week 2024 as per the instructions of the Ministry of Education, a competition was held with secondary education officers of 12 upazilas to select the best secondary education officer at Vivekananda School and College Auditorium in Tangail district headquarters on Tuesday.
Nazrur Islam was selected as the best secondary education officer among 12 upazilas. At this time Tangail District Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) AM. District administration officials including Zahirul Hayat and Tangail District Secondary Education Officer Rebecca Sultana were present.
