Uncapped Independiente del Valle teenager Jose Hurtado has been included in a 28-man Ecuador squad for the Copa America, the country’s football federation said on Thursday.
The 19-year-old right-back was one of only six Ecuador-based players named by Argentine head coach Gustavo Alfaro for the continental tournament, to be played in Brazil from June 13 to July 10. Ecuador will begin their Copa America campaign against Colombia at Cuiaba’s Arena Pantanal on Sunday.
